Adzuki Beans

Adzuki Beans are small, round beans that are dark red in colour. They have a light, nutty flavour that is slightly sweet. They are popular in Asian countries and are often sweetened with sugar and made into ‘red bean paste’ for use in desserts and porridges. Delicious in savoury dishes with rice and other grains, they are also superb cooked in a hot pot, when added to soups, and folded into stews.
